iRead Consulting Group (ICG) is a legally registered Ethiopian consulting and research firm headquartered in Samara, Afar National Regional State.
Established by a team of experienced academicians, researchers, and development professionals from the Afar Region, ICG provides evidence-based consulting, research, training, and advisory services that contribute to sustainable development and improved livelihoods, particularly in pastoral and agro-pastoral communities.
Operating primarily in the Afar Region while serving clients across Ethiopia, ICG works with government institutions, universities, development partners, non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies, private sector organizations and community-based institutions.
The firm was established in response to major socio-economic, environmental and institutional challenges including climate change, recurrent drought, food insecurity, natural resource degradation, public health challenges, youth unemployment and limited institutional capacity.
